Carboxy therapy

Its positive results concerned those disorders or real pathologies connected to blood circulation. In fact, carbon dioxide has the peculiarity of reactivating it. Following studies on this treatment set up different protocols and established all possible applications that carboxy therapy could have in the field of medicine. Nowadays its qualities are largely used also in aesthetic medicine for treating cellulitis, localized adiposity and cutaneous relaxation. The equipment used by the doctors for this treatment is certified and aknowledged by the Ministry of Health and today its efficacy on the dermal structure is confirmed by accurate scientific studies (University of Siena). This represents a further guarantee of safety. A DIFFERENT METHOD Reactivating circulation and recalling oxygen into cutaneous cells correpond to stimulating the natural skin regeneration, increasing the activity of the cells responsible for the collagen and elastin production (fibroblasts) and, consequently, improving skin quality as concerns tone and compactness, Moisture, colour and brightness. The possibility of adapt the action of carbon dioxide to the desired effect makes carboxy therapy a complete treatment, able to cancel different kinds of defects that contribute to make face look older. In fact, by modifying some parameters of gas supply (amount, volume and speed) and its injection depth, it is possible to achieve a tonifying effect against cutaneous relaxation, that is important to reshape the oval contour and to increase the tension of eyelids and eye contour; a “redensifying” effect, useful on the whole face to improve skin colour and thickness; and a reducing effect, that can be used to reshape a chin grown heavy because of a little fat. The doctor starts the program, that means selecting amount and speed of the gas supply according to the effect to be obtained. The gas is injected into the derma through a very thin needle connected with a small tube to the equipment and to the bottle of medical gas. The gas injected by the doctor penetrates into the skin giving rise to a detachment (emphysema) so that skin swells up for a few seconds. At this precise moment a vasodilatation and a strong recall of oxygen occur on the area followed by all consequences concerning cellular reactivation. The more gas is injected the bigger is the area whereon it spreads and that benefits therefore from the treatment. For good results we suggest one session a week for a period of four weeks and then one session every 15 days for further 4 times. Results must be then maintained with monthly sessions. Anyway, the number of applications may vary according to the extent of the problem.
